Two lines. Which one to take?

To be or not to be? That is not the question anymore. It’s better to disappoint others than not to be yourself. I don’t know how not to be myself. We all know how to do that because of the context or period we have been raised in.

I will repeat just so we don’t forget: It’s better to disappoint others than not to be yourself. In reality, though, it’s slightly more complex. In reality, it is like going against yourself (at least, it feels like it). It applies under the assumption that we were raised as conformists or as people who need love from others. We all need that. Stop misleading. Let’s say a person who needs to satisfy others. If they are happy, he is happy. So called, people pleaser. In the end, the result is that everyone around is pleased, and you think you are happy, too. You have to be, remember that! What else do you need? You’ve got all the material and immaterial satisfaction a man can imagine. High-paying job, family, health (the one where all the “trauma” is hidden for now. It comes and goes, but we still haven’t learned to recognize it), the freedom to do anything/go anywhere you want. But you want more. Or do you want less?

Are we missing simplicity? Would you exchange that? And what for?

And this is how we walk our lives. It’s not easy when you don’t know what you want. When we don’t know what we want, it’s good to follow the crowd at least, we are moving. Hm, are we?

Where is everyone going? We don’t know, but this is how it has usually been done. It has been for many years. And those, they are the rebels. What are they doing? Those? They always do what they want. And how do they know what they want? We don’t know that, but don’t you dare to find out. It only looks attractive because it’s different.

Stop constantly staring at them, you have been standing in this line for ages. I hope you are not reconsidering. So many years you have sacrificed in this line, and we are moving. It is a bit slower, but what’s the rush? You’re slowly getting there.

What are we building, I mean, us in this line? And why is their line moving quicker and so much further? We’re like a herd of swine. Don’t worry, a swine can travel further than we can imagine. But they’ll all get shot, in the end. There you go, and that is life. They did what they could during their pointless life, didn't they? In the end, we’ll all go one day. So it’s better to stay in this line. At least you know what’s ahead. Look at them, poor things, they got nothing. They only fly around, fly through their lives. It is very inappropriate. The right thing to do is to stand in this line. Remember, stability is above everything, isn’t it?
